Amit Machamasi is a self-taught photographer based in Bhaktapur, recognized for his profound passion for storytelling through visual media. His photography career began in 2020 with a position as a photojournalist, where he has since dedicated himself to capturing impactful moments.


Amit has explored a diverse range of subjects throughout his career, including political developments, cultural nuances, social issues, and documentary work. He has contributed to several esteemed news outlets in Nepal, such as Pahilo Post, Nepali Times, and Ukaalo. Additionally, his work has received international recognition from prominent publications, including The Guardian, The Times UK, and The Wall Street Journal.
